The Blog

A standalone engineering blog built on Next.js and MDX: typography-first reading, no popups, and no newsletter gate.

The blog exists so the essays have a home that is not a feed. It is a small Next.js site with MDX, a reading measure, and no interruption between the title and the last line.

The reading page

The article page has one job. There is no sidebar, no sticky newsletter card, and no related-content rail competing with the paragraph. The measure is 68 characters, code blocks sit on a dark field, and images open in place. The table of contents appears only when the article is long enough to need one.

MDX is the authoring format because the essays contain diagrams, tables, and small interactive examples. A build-time pipeline handles syntax highlighting and heading anchors; the runtime ships almost nothing.

Why not a section on this site?

The blog and the portfolio have different jobs. This site is an argument about the work; the blog is a place to think in public without fitting the thought into a case study. Separating them keeps both surfaces honest, and the shared design language keeps them related without making one depend on the other.
